Today is my first posting and just to let you know I SUCK at spelling! I have a lot to say but not much time. I'm a 30yr. old father and husband who works night shifts, but who's hoping to get moved to days SOON. I'm VERY proud of my son because he's smart, funny, and has started using the "potty." My wife and I have been together since her 18th birthday (except for a couple of months) which was June 13, 2000. We have our ups and downs...especially with me working nights but we love each other. We both have good jobs for our area, and luckily we both have good Health Insurance.
My health problems:
Sleep Apnea (when I was tested I stopped breathing 23 times/hour...no wonder I was tired!)
Hashimoto's Thyroiditis (my body is attacking my thyroid, ie an autoimmune disease, so hypothyroidism basically) http://www.healthdiaries.com/thyroiditis.htm
Reflux (have had this ALL my life and it BURNS; thank you ZANTAC!!)
Overweight (partly because of the sleep apnea & hypothyroidism)
bad eye sight (I use a rigid/hard contact which helps mostly)
Surgeries & Broken bones:
Heart Closure (yes heart surgery when I was only 1 & 1/2yrs old)
endoscopy (first one at the age of about 8yrs old)
torn rotator cuff so surgery to reattach the tendon
broken 5th metatarsal in my left foot
broken 5th metatarsal in my right foot (twice - about 6 months apart)
surgery to put a "screw" & bone graft in the 5th metatarsal of my right foot
stress fracture of the 4th metatarsal in my left foot
arthroscopic surgery summer '08 to have excess cartilage cut out of my left knee
stress fracture of the 4th metatarsal in my right foot
Needless to say I have racked up on medical bills. I have a Primary Care Doctor, an Endocrinologist, an Gastroenlogist, an Optomologist, and an Optometrist....not to mention a Dentist in the mix somewhere. Man I burn some brain cells thinking about all those ologist I go to!
Well back to my work schedule, everyone in my family hates it, but it gives me time to do things...like making stuff out of "paracord," washing and folding clothes, reading, watching movies/tv, working out, or cruising the web (mostly ebay or craigslist).
I am a member of a certain online movie rental site and have been on and off since they started. It's an easy way to rent movies without having to worry about late fees killing your wallet, because we ALL forget to take movies back and remember when it's not the best time....so who wants to go out in the pj's?! They mail the movies to you and when you're done just put it back in the envelope they sent it in and mail it. You'll get your new ones in about a day depending on how far from a distribution warehouse you live. You can assign up to 500 movies to be in your "que" which is just their way of saying your list of movies you want. You can even save movies to your "que" that haven't some out yet! I almost always have my "que" full. You can also friend people with similar taste in movies and exchange notes (much like blogging). They also allow you to rate movies based on the 5star system ...one star= it sucks while five stars =it kicks ass. They allow you to make list based on whatever category you want so you can find some cool new releases this way, but the most helpfull option are the reviews that people can type.
It's past my bed time so I'll talk more later....
